look my level of love for bts is ridiculous ok but it’s not only because of their pretty faces and magical voices…it’s because of emotions, struggles, positive and negative…they speak of my strengths, my weaknesses, my goodness, my otherness, they allow me to embody myself. they’re that light of dawn i look for after the darkness, the cheers i hear when i need a lift. they remind me of all that is important: my youth, my memories, my life.

their music and lyrics are not only about one part of living : love. they’re about all parts, the good, the bad, the ugly. BTS is not just handsome faces and fancy dance moves, they’re constantly connecting with us, speaking of their fears, their concerns, their worries, showing us that they’re humans too, that we all have weak, fragile moments and when bent too far we can chip and break, but also that we are strong enough to pick up the pieces and keep moving forward.  

They have shown me that perseverance and dedication is a major key to success, that dreaming is perfectly fine, but doing is better. they remind me to stop and smell the flowers, that to love someone else with all of my heart, i have to love ME with all of my heart first because at the end of the day, in the mirror, i am the person i have to live with forever.

I hope BTS realizes how special they are, they aren’t just empty bubbles and wispy dreams, they are life lines, a support system, an embodiment of all things life is. Happy 5 Years, let’s keep going for another 5+ ~
